The India CVD Roadmap is currently being developed by the Center for Chronic Disease Control, HRIDAY and Public Health Foundation of India, working together under the leadership of Dr. Dorairaj Prabhakaran (CCDC, PHFI) and the coordination of Dr. Monika Arora (PHFI, HRIDAY).
Following the process designed by WHF to develop a national Roadmap, the team already completed a situation analysis of the tobacco control and the health system situation when it comes to hypertension and secondary prevention in India to identify roadblocks and suggests potential solutions to improve cardiovascular health in India.

They are currently working on a scorecard to assess the strengths and gaps in national CVD programmes, and will soon organize policy dialogues to select innovative strategies to tackle CVD in India.Print this page
